  • Amazing employees and always a great time. Great times to see movies. I love 10:30 a.m. to see a movie.

  • Going to the Angola is like stepping back into the history books. See the latest flick, run into neighbors and friends and still come home with a few dollars left in your wallet. I'm glad that the theater was saved a few years ago and now remains as a community anchor and ongoing thriving business.

  • We had my daughter's seventh birthday party here and we had so much fun. Very affordable and very friendly staff. Perfect place for any type of party, business meeting/training, fundraiser, etc.

  • For that Mayberry feeling - a great place to watch a movie.

  • Great little local movie theater. They only show one movie at a time, and their viewing times are limited, but standard every week. Love taking my kids here for movies!

Located at 72 North Main Street, The New Angola Theater is a historic and cultural landmark which first opened as "The Theatre Angola" on November 25, 1924 as a silent movie house. Considered a credit to the progressive spirit of the village, the modern movie house constructed by Mr. & Mrs. Frank Wiatrowski offered moderate cost movies, 3-act vaudeville shows, and local entertainment. The theater is currently owned and operated by sasi, a nonprofit agency dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities through meaningful supports and services.
